The course work of Pathgate Institute of Buddhist Studies’s Classical Qigong Foundation Study is divided into three Semesters. Each Semester is an independent module comprising ten individual Study Blocks covering the following subjects.

Classical Qigong Study Subsidiary Subjects
Subsidiary Subjects, involving the physical discipline of Classical Chinese Internal and External Arts, comprising Hand Forms, Sensitivity Drills and Instruments, have been incorporated into a recommended schedule for the students so that their mindfulness and concentration can be more effectively enhanced. It also enables the students to benefit from this unique experience and the resulting insight of integrating physical discipline with the Wisdom of Buddhist Dharma. The inclusion of Subsidiary Subjects is deemed as an essential, integral part of the program that has been designed to encourage the participant to put into practice the first stage of Classical Qigong Study, which is centred upon the development of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.
