What are the Potential Causes which are known to prevent a Student from retaining the Teaching?
There are five potential causes which are known to prevent a student from retaining the teachings. They occur whenever the student: remembers the words but not the meaning; remembers the meaning but not the words; remembers the words and what they mean, but fails to recognise their ultimate intention; remembers the words and the meaning, but confuses the order; and lastly, remembers the wrong meaning.
