Buddhist Medicine - Healing Accounts
Dr. Alan Robertson (MB, ChB, FRCS(Glas), FRCR), is a Consultant Radiologist. He came to Sifu suffering from Aggressive Reactive Arthritis, which affected his lower back, sacro-iliac joints, knees and small joints of his feet. He has since recovered and returned to his favourite hobby of vigorous hill walking:
“I was present at a treatment session by Sifu when I was given the opportunity to examine a patient before and then after the treatment. My initial examination indicated that the patient was suffering from the symptoms of a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract; a dry cough, sore throat, a pulse of 120 per minute, a general pallor and a fevered sweating brow. After I completed my examination, Sifu spent a few minutes with the patient, then asked him to take a seat, while he moved on to continue his work with other people. When I examined the patient two hours later, the dry cough had gone, there was colour in his cheek, the brow was less fevered and the pulse was seventy two per minute; normal. In my opinion, these signs and symptoms could never have been resolved in so short a time without help.”
