“The first time I met Sifu, he talked about the harmful effect of pride and all his words made a lot of sense to me. I was looking for something to give meaning to my life and thought it might be through helping others. Sifu advised me I should focus on cultivating the right view and the right conduct before extending help to others. When I read Sifu's article entitled 'Reflection On Love', I cried because it explained to me some aspects of my conduct and it also introduced me to the existence of something bigger: 'Unconditional Love'. From Sifu's teaching, I learned about humility, respect and patience and I have seen that when applying them, it is possible to make my life joyful. The Buddhist teachings I received have also make a lot of sense and are applicable to daily life. It has not been easy to maintain the consistency of right view and conduct but when I see how Sifu extends his Unconditional Love to everyone without distinction, it inspires me to follow the teachings and put them into practice.”
