William Ip is a laboratory technician. In 1991 he took sick leave from work and spent three months in a psychiatric hospital suffering from acute depression and anxiety. The treatment he received at the hospital was not successful, and if anything, had adverse effects. In despair, he went to Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje for help.

Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje once demonstrated the opening of his Sky Eye to reveal the profundity of the true self, the 'One' beyond the physical body. What I actually saw through my own eyes was Sifu's physical appearance change. His head appeared to grow, and his facial features transformed completely. A warm glow radiated from Sifu which was not like any ordinary light or warmth but had the same feeling as the warmth of the sun. It was like the sun, a light which expanded in all directions illuminating everything in its path. It expanded to fill the whole room, and everything appeared to dissolve in the glow. My ordinary sense of space and time and physical boundaries dissolved, leaving only an incredible sense of vastness and stillness. I do not really know how long it lasted - whether it was only seconds or perhaps several minutes.

I was with Sifu at Cordoba when he received the 'World Taiji Internal Power Highest Gold Award' in recognition of his master demonstration at the 5th International Martial Arts World Cup's Tournament. The remarkable thing about this was that Sifu went into the demonstration without any preparation or warm up. In fact, during the whole of our stay in Spain, I never witnessed Sifu doing any obvious physical exercise. I can only conclude that Sifu no longer works out in the ordinary physical sense, but has somehow integrated the whole of his being with the purest form of action without action."
