"I once asked Sifu if he would treat a sprain to my right wrist, which gave me great pain and discomfort. In the most ordinary manner he asked me to close my eyes and stretch out my hand. As I closed my eyes, I noticed I was almost instantly under a deluge of bright light cascading from above and an imperceptible sensation of movement in my body, as if liquid was going up and down between my navel and the solar plexus. I was told to relax my hand for about two more minutes and then open my eyes and turn my wrist gently. Much to my surprise, the pain was gone completely, without having been touched by Sifu.

During the Summer Retreat in Greece with Sifu in July 1997 at Mount Pelion, I fell on my coccyx and experienced great pain and a lot of heat in that area. Sifu helped me stand up and without touching me on the coccyx, he made the heat and pain spread out and leave my body in all directions. At the same retreat, another student, suffering from diarrhoea, who was also helped by Sifu, reported a feeling of solidity and relief in her stomach after treatment; whilst another, to his amazement, received advice on marketing and management strategies as a remedy for his ulcer caused by work related stress.

Prior to Sifu's visit in February 1998, my mother had been diagnosed as having a serious problem with her reproductive organs, which needed to be totally removed by surgery. She knew about Sifu because of several discussions we had in the past, so we decided to talk to him on the phone about her condition. Despite the problematic condition, Sifu unreservedly promised to pray for my mother's well-being and that his heart would be with us in our trying moments. I thanked him and informed him of the day and time the operation would take place. For six hours after the phone call my mother and I felt a state of calmness evolving into a change from our previously dull and heavy psychological state into one of relief and peacefulness.

My mother recalls to me that while she was lying on the surgery table, she was mentally asking Sifu to help her. The operation was successful. Had it been undertaken at a later time, it could have led to serious implications according to the doctor. This is exactly what Sifu had diagnosed on the phone. After some days I asked my mother about her experience with Sifu. Then she gave me a description of his face and figure, even though I had never shown her a photo of him. My mother's faith and the seriousness of her case along with Sifu's single minded unswerving determination to help us have put everything I have ever known under a new light; into a brand new perspective. I don't know what I have done to have the privilege of meeting Sifu, but I now know that life is not about the pursuit of mundane existence."
