"The very first experience I had of Sifu's extraordinary ability to command and transform energy forces was as a new student to the Classic Qigong Studies. I was in Sifu's study when I became aware that Sifu was physically disappearing before my eyes. There was still an awareness of his presence, but his form had become a pure mass of energy, and as hard as I looked there was no physical body, just pure energy.

Through the many years of attending studies and retreats with Sifu he has continuously demonstrated his ability to effect change in the energies of people as well as the forces of nature. I have witnessed him help students clear negative energies from their body, the result of which has not just been an improvement in their physical and mental health, but also a releasing of the natural vibrancy and radiance that exists within them through which they come truly alive. Sifu's ability to bring about such transformation arises from his whole being - the sound of his voice, the gentle movement of his breath or the merest gesture of just the tip of a finger can physically turn our understanding of the laws of physics on it's head, sending people flying across rooms, healing even serious illnesses, or clearing blockages in their energy fields that are limiting their progress.

Attending Sifu's teachings I have witnessed their power to create unusual weather phenomena at retreats in Greece. While in Newcastle the transmission of energy through his teachings and physical practices he teaches students, is an experience of shedding layers of lifetimes of negative patterns of thinking and behaviour. My experience of Sifu's every word is a living energy that cuts through all the inner obstacles of negative emotions that obstruct me reaching my full potential spiritually, emotionally and mentally. From the very first teaching I received, Sifu has constantly stressed three things: Reverence, Humility and Gratitude, which he himself personifies as qualities that lead to achievement of fulfilment of the highest possible potential, that of being a truly authentic spiritually realised master.

Many times in Sifu's presence I have experienced a radiance of light and peace that is gentle and yet incredibly powerful. On one occasion I witnessed the power of Sifu to transform some ones life by merely gently taking their hand in his. It was a lady of 89, who was walking unsteadily with a companion, who had explained that she was recovering confidence and mobility after a bad experience in a care home. Her whole body was shaking and unsteady and her expression was one of defeat. Then Sifu came along and stopping, simply took her hand gently, saying nothing and when I turned to look at her, I was transfixed. I was looking at someone from whom all the fear and shaking and instability of movement had dropped away and been replaced by a vibrancy and alertness of inner being that was that of what they once must have been as a young girl. It was literally like watching someone come alive inwardly, having been dead in the most central core of their being by reason of their suffering.

Sifu does not just teach, he works miracles of transformation in every single student, giving them what they most need to bring positive change about in their life. We come to him looking for what we think we want, and in true Bodhisattva tradition Sifu gives us what we truly need and over time we too come to see the benefit of the difference of harmony taking root in all aspects of our lives. Through the years of attending classes I have observed that there is nothing that exists that Sifu cannot turn into a tool for the teaching of Dharma. This is perhaps the greatest power of an authentic spiritual master, in that he can create the appearance of being ordinary and yet in every single second is working tirelessly and courageously in transforming the life of all being around him. Countless times I have seen people of all cultures and belief systems respond to Sifu in a way that is not usual. Sifu transcends culture, language and religious traditions to reach into the deepest levels of the human heart and mind and by the quality of his presence open and transform those he interacts with. While Sifu demonstrates many incredible miraculous abilities, for me it is both the personal experience of his ability to cut right through all those delusional mind states I operate in on a daily basis, and in doing that helps me to catch the merest glimpse of what I might become if I truly practice and follow his teachings."
